1:1 Classroom Ideas and Web 2.0 Tools

Learning Target for PD:

1. Gain a better understanding of what it will take for you to make the transfer from your current status in your classroom to a 1:1 format.

2. Locate Web 2.0 tools that you can use in your classroom with your students next year when they all have computers

     Teachers were instructed to:

     

     1. Think and discuss within your content groups how the 1:1 initiative is going to impact your classroom on a day to day basis. Think about the logistics of your classroom.  What daily procedures will change going from the current status to the 1:1 format?- (note taking, journaling, practicing math problems, etc.  )

 2. Start searching for web tools that you can use in your classroom next year. You might want to look back at the Google Docs title”Characteristics of Effective Instruction” and look for tools to look up and learn about. You can also use the Web Tools resource list to get ideas from.


 3.    List your Web tools that you find under your content area on the “Web Tools” Google Docs. Please include how you might use this tool in your classroom. Also, please explore the tools that you put on the googledoc and be ready to share one of your tools with the rest of the staff.
