Focus: How are we going to adapt
our instruction in a 1:1 environment and eight period day so that we can
improve in the five areas that are defined by the Department of Education for
characteristic of effective instruction?
To think about: All teachers will be using a tool (the computer) that will restructure their day. How will these 5 characteristics look in this restructured classroom?
- Teachers
looked at the characteristics of effective instruction on the shared Google Docs within their content areas
- Together,
teachers brainstormed ideas and recorded their ideas on the shared Googledoc
that answer the questions posted above.
- Once
content area groups were finished recording ideas of Googledoc, everyone
took a few minutes to read through all content areas’ ideas. Some content areas shared their ideas.
